Voted Dallas' favorite family photographer (dallas child magazine)

Welcome to The Sweet Life blog!

This little blog is where our fabulous families are showcased after each and every session. Scroll down to soak up the eye candy that can only come from photographing what truly are the sweetest kids in Dallas.

This is the new version of our blog, and we are thrilled that each of our 2+ years of blog posts have made the transition. However, our favorite links still need to be added...which we'll be sure and tackle...as soon as we've taken a deep breath and detoxed from the fun that comes from setting up a new/old blog. Phew!

In the meantime-bookmark us, let us know what you think, and come back often! We always love to hear your comments too, so don't be shy.

Charlie + Matthew + Caroline {Dallas Children’s Photographer}

Charlie’s last babyplan session was yesterday and OH MY WORD am I going to miss seeing this family every few months. Caroline was one of the original babyplanners (in fact, it was her cute mommy’s suggestion that we offer something in a package that created it in the first place). Though, somehow, I think they are excited to graduate to holiday session families, who only have to coordinate and wear bright smiles while sweating in the heat once a year instead of three. So, my pity party is for me only. ;)

And we managed to end our third babyplan with a bang. Location #1 was a big, fat FAIL (don’t get us started because *grumble grumble UNPUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHY FEE DIDN’T OPEN ON TIME grumble*), but we quickly hightailed it to location #2 and went to town…playing peek-a-boo with the 11:00 sunshine and August heat. And I won’t lie…there *will* be some headswapping taking place with the final images (after 3 babyplans, this family knows only too well of my mad photoshop skillz)…but after a quick run-through I am delighted with the highlights from our grand adventure.

This one just makes me laugh…such a typical image of a VERY LOVED little brother.

Sophia + Jack {Frisco Newborn Photographer}

Babyplanner graduate Jack (now 3) introduced me to his new little sister, Sophia, this morning. And oh my…if she isn’t the spitting image of her big brother at the same age! (Which reminds me…what happened to Pumpkin? I forgot to ask!).

They just don’t come sweeter, easier, or sleepier than Sophia.

A quick, behind-the-scenes snap of Jack. Don’t worry Sophie, he’s got you covered.

Edith + Greta + Henry {Dallas Newborn Photographer}

6 day old Edith *may* be the youngest, and the littlest, and sure…she doesn’t quite know how to do more than just lay there and look cute. But give this kid a few months and I just *know* that Greta and Henry will show her the ropes. And when that happens? She’ll be able to hold her own. I just have a feeling ;)

A quiet moment with Mom and Dad, and the little one that completes their family of five.

Katie + Maggie {Dallas Childrens Photographer}

Dear, eternally happy, delightfully chubby Katie has hit that halfway point in our Sugar baby plan (insert preemptive sniffle here, if you please). And with this family there is *always* just so much to say. Today, instead…here is some eye candy to celebrate them, and the little one that makes their lives just that much more complete:

(I know…it’s obvious that she’s a difficult baby ;) ). And NOT AT ALL doted on by big sister Maggie.

Hooray for those magical 3rd babies…they truly make the world go ’round.

The Riley Family

What luck! A last minute request (as aunts and uncles were in town) combined with the afternoon rainstorm stopping *just* in time AND a location to die for to give us an absolutely perfect afternoon of shooting.

Plus, it helps that they are about as cute as can be, that the kids *just* played Miss Jen last week, and it’s like a real life Hallmark card.

Of course, to GET these fun family shots we *had* to get a bit crazy…

And practice our sassy poses (led by the youngest, Miss Thang herself).

Uncle Brendan wanted one with the kids for his Christmas card, and Aunt Erin hopped in at just the right moment…Love this pic!
