Wyatt

How has this year flown by SO DARN FAST?

It was seriously just the other day that I first met Wyatt and his cute family (grandparents included), and wasn’t it yesterday that he showed off his Halloween costume? Now he’s the big 0-1…he’s cruising, babbling, and just about as ONE as one can get. What hasn’t changed? His sunny personality. I have a serious love affair with this happy little guy. I’d love to just put him in my pocket, carry him around, and pull him out whenever I need a smile.

LOVE. HIM.

I also love his CUTE CUTE CUTE parents.

Guess what…so does he:

Brady + Lowery

Brady and Lowery’s mom emailed last week on the off chance that we had an opening available. Whaddya know, I’m all caught up! So yes, I was happy to fit them in. However, last week it not only managed to rain, but I was struck with the the Great Tummy Bug of 2009. It wasn’t pretty, so we rescheduled.

Fast forward a week, and these amazing parents ran a MARATHON a few hours before their session. Hoss(es? What’s the plural of hoss?).

Anyway, I was impressed.

Which sadly doesn’t mean I took it easy on them; making them hike up and down trails, swing their kids around like they were featherlight, and generally gave them an additional workout. What can I say, I’m empathetic like that ;)

But look…SO WORTH IT:

Madeleine, Olivia + Ella

I haven’t seen these big girls in three years, and little Ellie in two…so today’s session was much anticipated (and sadly rescheduled a few weeks ago due to, YOU GUESSED IT, rain). Today could not have been more perfect for photos…the sky was perfectly overcast, the weather was mild, and I don’t know what memo I missed, but there were NO OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS in the park. I’m so used to avoiding scads of people at weekend park sessions, and today was just absolutely lovely in every way.

Not only that, but these girls? Beyond adorable. Also? REEEEAAALLY ticklish:

Sean, Christopher, Andrew + Michael

This morning’s romp through the fields was in honor of this sweet family of six. Baby Michael joined the pack seven months ago, and his brothers (8, 5, and 2) give him a lot to look forward to!

I laughed as we traipsed uphill, trying to keep up with Sean and Christopher, trying to keep Andrew moving forward…and couldn’t help but remark that keeping the boys moving in the same direction was like trying to herd crickets. Dad quipped “What we need is a sheepdog.”…but boys dashing in opposite directions or not…we still managed to capture these four boys loving on one another and having a good time:

I mean, when this is your first capture, you know it’s going to be fun!

Of course, we had to make sure that every boy had his chance in the spotlight…
