Natalie + Taylor

IMG_7045 copy

These two sisters were SUCH fun! I haven’t seen Natalie in a little over a year, and WOW has she grown up! Miss Taylor has since joined the family, and these girls were so sweet and loving with one another (and quick to giggle too!).

Their mom is a HUGE etsy fan, as I was in cute-clothes heaven while going through their outfits for the shoot. I’m including the etsy source shops at the end of the post for those that want some of these cute clothes for their own little ones ;) (myself included!)

Sweet little curled up toes always make me smile.

I love a good family snuggle :)

We headed outdoors for a few. Sidenote: Dear Mosquito that feasted on my temple, I hope you had a good time…I didn’t stop to swat you away, even though I KNEW you were there. Why? Because THIS shot was developing (and I sacrifice for my art. *SNORT* (but really-SWOON))

Little Taylor was done. Done, done, PUT-ME-TO-BED I. AM. DONE. But then…we got one last adorable smile out of her. LOVE HER.

The Big Sis/Little Sis shop is from Green Apple Boutique
The 1 shirt (and not shown, but ADORABLE pumpkin shirts for Fall-go look!) are from Modern Frills

Go shop, but save me a pumpkin shirt or 3, K? ;)

John Stephen + Olivia

IMG_5690

I just adore this little family. They always have bright, sunny smiles and are quick to laugh about absolutely everything. And we had LOTS to laugh about during their mini session on Saturday.

Their dear John Stephen is in LOVE with the camera these days, and has a desire to be front and center. I had THE BEST time just letting the kids do their own thing, and almost every time I focused the camera on Olivia this bright and shining little face would creeeeep into the viewfinder. I was *rolling*!

(see his sister in the background?)

I asked Olivia to dance and twirl, and Oh! Look! John Stephen! (LOVE THAT KID)

I did manage to sneak in a few of the little Princess though, without her brother around ;) (her little toes were chilly)

Hailey + Ellie + Addie + Harper

How much do I love these girls? *THIS MUCH*

How much do I ADORE their new house, filled with the most breathtaking, natural light. *SO MUCH*

The combination? Well, let’s just say that I was happy clapping the entire time I was there.

AND? This is my (counting on my fingers…) 7th or 8th session with this family (not including Harper’s birth)…and this was BY FAR the easiest session of all. LOVE. THESE. GIRLS.

Love this quick snap…see the photo on the upper left? That’s from Addie’s 6 month session. We tried to recreate it today with all four girls, and as the big girls clambered in I just HAD to a quick photo of these cute little monkeys.

Katherine (+ Murphy)

Photographing Katherine is an annual tradition, and one that I look forward to year after year (after year). Each year she has a little more personality, a larger vocabulary, a bigger view of the world. This time she let me stay afterwards and play in her room for a little while…we’re buddies like that.

Murphy, on the other hand, seems to like me a little less every year (Hi Murphy! WHATAGOODBOYYOUAREYESYOUARE!!!). Between you and me, I think his grey is starting to show. But it makes him look ever so dignified, dontcha think?

Our annual photo session has one added dimension of greatness…Katherine’s mommy waves goodbye and heads off to work, and leaves me with Katherine and her sweet Nanny Kylie to play and do our thing. And so, we did! We walked the Murphster, played a little dress-up, showed off our ballet moves, and even put on a little fashion show just for me in between outfit changes.

Love. This. Girlchild.

Noah…

IMG_1489 copy

Suddenly sweet, newborn Noah isn’t a newborn any more. I couldn’t get over how much he had changed from his last session, and just fell head over heels in love with his fluffy hair and big, dark eyes (not to mention those lips!). He was such a happy little guy all through our session, and I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with him (and his awesome family!).

Noah’s grandmother moved to Dallas to take care of him during the day, so of course we had to document the adoration between those two. They have such a sweet, special bond that is so obvious to see.
