Bridget + Katherine {dallas newborn photographer}

You may remember enigmatic, emphatic, energetic Katherine from late last year. She had *much* to say about the upcoming arrival of her new baby sister (and a lot of other things as well). Today I met Miss Bridget Eloise, and from the moment I walked into their remodeled home (read: GORGEOUS NATURAL LIGHT!) until the time I left several hours later, I don’t think I stopped marveling at just how wonderful tiny Bridget was for her session. It helps, of course, that her grandmother was there to lend her experienced baby whisperer ability, and when you add the location to a very sweet baby, it added up to a perfect newborn session.

I managed to hang around long enough to snag a few of Katherine and Bridget with their gorgeous mommy, and I’m so glad I did!

Hailey + Ellie + Addison + Harper + Emerson {dallas childrens photographer}

Miss Emerson had her 2nd Baby Plan session this morning, and after a round of sick yuckiness delayed our last session the morning it was scheduled, I was READY to get my camera pointed towards these girls. They did not disappoint, and it was, dare I say, one of my most favorite sessions with this crew of all time (minus, of course, the births I’ve photographed (the last two), the newborn sessions (the last three), and all the years of watching them grow (all five)).

Basically, any session with this family is guaranteed to be a fun one, but when THIS is one of the first images taken, you *know* we’re in for a great time!

I *heart* her curls so, so much.

Towards the end, I became a little less interesting…but the leaves never lost their yumminess.

Isaac + Holly {plano children’s photographer}

Isaac and Holly should have been blogged a week ago as part of the mini sessions. But it didn’t quite work out that way, and the way it played out was LITERALLY almost almost like a scene in a movie (a comedic horror movie, at that). Cue everyone getting out of the car, tell photographer to exclaim over the cute clothes, now everyone take two steps to walk to the meadow, and now CUE THE VOMITING BABY.

Poor Holly had a bit of an upset tummy, and by ‘bit’ I mean ‘very’, and by ‘upset’ I mean ‘violently ill all over her outfit, her mommy’s outfit, and then soaked her carseat’. I think we can laugh about it now, though I admit I DID text as I was heading to their session JUST TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE that everyone was feeling good. They were, and our shoot was a success!

Mary Claire + Cambre {dallas children’s photographer}

This sneak peek is a little heavier on images than usual…I got sort of carried away with these girls. Take a look, and you’ll see why ;)

It’s my favorite time of year not only because we see repeat clients year after year right about now, but also because of the NEW ones that jump on the Sugar bandwagon. I hope these girls join the ranks of Sugar repeaters along with all the rest.

Emma Janae {ACPCG}

After Ella Dawn’s session a few months ago I was contacted by another sweet ‘heart baby’ family that would soon be heading to Children’s Cardiac ICU. Emma Janae endured heart surgery just 19 hours after birth, and several more in the 21 days since she was born. I was lucky enough to be in the room when her darling Mommy was handed her baby girl for the very first time.

There’s nothing like a little anticipation to make you realize just how agonizing those 21 days must have been.

Daddy was right there, watching the monitors, loving his two girls, and I know he was just aching to hold her. She did so well after I left that I hear he was able to love on her a bit himself, and that makes me just so happy for all three of them.

Of course, any stylish baby girl (especially here in Dallas) MUST have a rockin’ bow collection. Sweet Emma may have the the best bows I’ve ever seen, in or OUT of the CICU.

Pure joy:

Feel free to give this sweet family a little lovin’ on their BLOG. They are living at the Ronald Macdonald house near the hospital as they traveled from out of state to be here. I know they could use every prayer, strength, and uplifting message that they can get.
