Lex + Lisa

Sugar headed to Seattle last weekend to help celebrate the awesomeness that is Lex and Lisa. I heard about their wedding plans (Hello! Costume pub crawl? Yes, I want to go to there!) and HAD HAD HAD to be there to document. Plans were made, I tied a big bow to myself (camera in hand) as the wedding gift (from their brother and sister in law, dear friends of ours who were kind enough to shuttle my husband and I there),and off we went!

It was a madcap adventurous weekend, and on that first night I was able to witness the sweetest, funniest, happiest, MOST loving ceremony I have ever seen. The actual ceremony took place in Lex and Lisa’s (amazing!) home, and it was filled to the brim with family and close friends. Children (and pets!) were snuggled into arms and passed around, laughter filled every floor, the food was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the love just flowed.

The ceremony took place on the top floor, with the MOST amazing view of the bay. See the dog? She had to join in (and show off her fancy dress too):

The party continued downstairs, and I have to include this one of the family that had the GENIUS idea of arranging the sweetest wedding gift EVAH ;) (love you guys! MWAH)

and THEN…the next day is when the real party started

“What’s that? A costume pub crawl wedding?” Oh yes. It was.

I had THE most fun…the costumes were hysterical, the drinks aplenty, and it ended at the lake with another ceremony (this one surrounded by 200 enthusiastic friends in crazy costumes). AWE. SOME.

Lisa changed back into her wedding gown for the hilltop ceremony, and the vows were repeated (with a few extra additions and LOTS of laughter).

What better way to get married than with a few hundred of your most colorful friends?

Congratulations Lex and Lisa! I wish you a lifetime of happiness (and many, many more pub crawls. In costume, of course!)

XOXO,
Jen

The rays of sunlight shining down on the couple w/dog in hand was absolutely beautiful! One of my favorites from this post has to be the dog relaxing and laying on Lisa’s dress!! Too cute!!! Had it not been for the flowers and the doggies eyes/nose, he would have blended in with the dress!! LOL!! You do such beautiful work!!!
