Hopper and Nash…

Nash had his 6 month baby plan session yesterday if you were at the park and saw a HUGE red balloon in the parking lot, that was us. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the field ( we had a balloon fatality ).  Thankfully this little family took it in stride, and I’m sure they won’t even miss the balloon once they see their session.

Which just means that at Nash’s 1 year session? There will be (yet another) big red balloon. This time, we won’t let it pop.

PS) Want that little striped pants and cap? Visit Mod+Mini..my favorite baby shop! Nash’s mommy bought this set before he was born! She knows coolness when she sees it.

Hudson and Jensen…

Hudson had his 1 year baby plan session on Friday, and we had a fun time doing the boy thang in Deep Ellum.  There was much excitement in the air (as you can see):

Happy Birthday sweet Hudson! I hope your birthday party ROCKED!

Blakely + Win…

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of photographing Blakely and Win, 9.5 month old twins!  When I called to talk to their Mommy before their session, and she said that the outfits she was thinking of using were from Play @ Planet Funk (In Northpark), I was giddy. PERFECT!

It was the perfect combination of beautiful kids, great clothes, a laid back Mom, and gorgeous weather. The results? Take a peek:

Of course, you KNOW I love any baby with a Sophie. The sweetest baby I never had the chance to meet first turned me on this fun little toy (and incredible charity), and I’ll be sure and buy a new one for our newest addition (36 weeks and counting!)

Look at these two darling babies!

(Mom said she loved how I am able to photograph babies eyes…Do you think she’ll be pleased?) ;)

A few quick funny ones…it’s tricky trying to get two nap-ready babies to be happy at the exact same time. See what I mean?

First you lose one, then get her back…only to lose her brother. Ahhh…such is life with twins!

Jack…

Baby Jack is all grown up!  From a sleepy newborn to a top-heavy 6 month old to a busy, walking 15 month old. My how time has flown!

We met at the park yesterday for his rocking “1 year” session (I use quotes because he’s really 15 months…we waited until he was walking to catch that big milestone), and the weather? BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely perfect for photos.

A quick note about our availability this holiday season…We have exactly two ‘full session’ dates, and two ‘mini session’ dates available.  Please contact Mindy (Mindy@sugar-photography.com) if you are interested in snagging one of these (otherwise I’ll use those two free mornings to grab a Starbucks, put my feet up, and promptly fall asleep despite the caffeine. Phew…it’s gonna be a busy season!!!)

Big, big thanks to my steady stream of holiday clients that come back year after year, and our fun NEW clients that I can’t wait to meet!  This is our busiest holiday season yet, and I am feeling very, very blessed.

Thank you.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

The annual 5K Run/Walk is held in September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. More than 1,000 children will diagnosed with a form of cancer in the state of Texas this year. Did you know that 1 in 4 elementary schools have a child with cancer?

This is your opportunity to honor their fight and raise funds to make a difference in their lives!

Saturday is also the anniversary of Sweet Allie’s passing.  Make a donation, post on her family’s blog, and just take a minute to remember a special little girl who should be turning 5. Instead, in her name thousands of families with children battling cancer receive financial assistance when they need it most.

Sweet Allie…thank you for all you have done, and all you continue to do.

Jenny…Love you girl.
