Catching up…

FYI-moving stinks and I hope to never have to repeat the past four weeks.

It’s not even worth going into detail, but rest assured that we had our fair share of moving debacles…not the least of which has been getting my business reestablished in the new space. To date I still don’t have a consistent internet connection, and the crash from last week yielded five lost sessions. I felt like the anti-Santa Claus when I made those five phone calls last week, scheduling reshoots and promising to make it worth everyone’s while.

BUT-as the dust settles I’m finding that I do love the new space. The viewing room is perfect, and if I can just find time to finish hanging sample prints I’ll be good to go! Just don’t get me started on my DSL line (or lack thereof…). At this point I feel like it’s just amusing…how many people can I pay to NOT come back and finish the job? (In case you’re wondering, that number is now up to two, with two others left scratching their heads…).

Good times.

In the past month we’ve still had sessions take place, and in no particular order, I owe these families a big fat THANK YOU for their patience and understanding as they’ve had to endure three weeks without a sneak peek. Can you imagine?

Isaac epitomizes childhood for me…freewheeling, always laughing, and with a grin forever on his face:

With parents like these, can you blame him?

The winner of our North Dallas Moms of Twins club auction-twins Drew and Molly with big sister Sydney:

Smiley Jackson (I have to show the serious side of this little guy-the smiles never stopped coming…he wins the easiest 6 month old of May award!)

Pretty Hadley and her big brother Alex came all the way from Granbury for their session in the park and we had a ball!

Anna’s new family-she was adopted from Vietnam and her favorite thing to do is dance with her big brother…that, and ring around the rosy with her whole family. Can’t you just feel the delight shining on her face?

Juliette-who tagged along at her cousins’ session last week. Her own chance to shine is coming up in June and we were instant friends. I can’t wait!

The littlest of Juliette’s cousins, Ella Grace (who was convinced I was going to snatch her away from her adoring older sisters. This kiddo cried whenever she looked at me-a BIG change from her smiley 6 month session! I’m trying not to take it personally ;)

Middle sister Libby…she didn’t have the issues of her little sister. Point a camera her way and she turns it on. But you haven’t seen anything until you’ve watched the reaction when a camera points at…

DYLAN! Superstar Dylan just shines! Her little sisters sure have a wonderful example to look up to!

Everett wasn’t too keen on this whole camera thing either…this face just cracks me up:

But just look at how her older brother Greyson looks at her. He was so patient and gentle and really worked hard to help her feel comfortable.

Jensen is busier than ever! What’s that saying? You can’t keep a good baby down? Trust me, we couldn’t keep Jensen in one spot!!! I finally just ran ahead and let him work his way towards me, exploring the park as he went. He’s going to be a big brother this fall!

Brothers Everett and Alex are repeat customers…they don’t hesitate when Miss Jen points her camera and yells “Places!”. Well trained little cuties, aren’t they? ;)

Jake had a swinging good time at the park (third time was the charm for this poor family-the rain chased us away not once, not twice, but ALMOST three times. We got lucky that third time and the weather held…just barely!)

Jackson and Makenna are smilier (is that a word?) than ever! She’s six months and adores her big brother (who dotes on her):
