we finally meet…

Working with organizations such as acpcg and nilmdts put me in contact with some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Moms and Dads with such courage and heart that I am humbled to be near them.

Sweet Audrey was mentioned in a previous entry, and today was her session. Away from the hospital, the doctors and nurses, and far away from the frightening NICU that she was a part of for so long…it was an absolute pleasure to see her in her own environment. Her sweet striped bedroom was pink and green, perfect for a little girl that aspires to be a princess!

This is my favorite image after a quick review…Big brothers wrestling in the background while sweet Audrey sleeps on Mommy and Daddy’s bed, oblivious to it all. She is an absolute angel.

Audrey’s Mommy just summed up this image in the most poetic of ways:

Oh Jennifer!
There it is, my heart, in one precious image.

Snaps to the August babies…

aka: those that are featured in Sugar’s Dallas Child ad for August

Thanks to Elizabeth, CJ, and Ava!

And at the top you can see a little note letting folks know our holiday sessions are filling up fast, And they are!

This year’s holiday schedule will end on December 1, and Sugar Photography will be closed for December and January to allow time for our families and the big PPA conference at the end of January.

Holiday session information will be posted soon, including ordering deadlines and mini session dates. We did these last year and they were very popular, so think about setting up a time soon to make sure you aren’t left out this year!

Also, don’t forget about handbags, jewelry, portraits and gift certificates for that perfect gift!

If watching them grow…

is the best part of this job, then the response and feedback from the parents is the 2nd best part.

From Mindy:

Oh my, I’m awestruck.
Perfect. That sums them up. Perfect.
I’ll spend all night staring at them!

I know you must hear it all the time but you have truly touched us with your talent. You captured the joy we have in our family of 5! The shots of all of us show me that all my dreams have come true.

(thanks Mindy-I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am honored to have been able to work with your sweet family!)

ps-here is my favorite from her session…2 little monkeys jumping on the bed:

Watching them grow…

is probably the best part of being a children’s photographer.

This little guy:

Is now 6 months old:

(don’t you want to just eat him up?)

And coming soon…Peanut! Making *it’s* grand debut on Thursday morning (unless mommy’s bedrest (as of today) hurries things up a bit. Big brother Henry is thrilled…boy or girl? I am honored to be one of the first to find out as I will be there to photograph the big event!
