recent happenings…

I don’t think I’ve shared Baby Audrey with you. A friend of her family contacted me a few months ago through acpcg to see if I would be available to photograph her while she was in the NICU. She was born with a congenital defect and was sadly battling low odds of surviving due to the severity of her condition. We delayed her NICU session in hopes that we’d soon be able to do a “real” session, outside of the hospital. Joyfully, she is beating the odds and her parents brought her home this week. Audrey, I cannot wait to meet you! (we did your baby buddy Allison’s pictures last weekend-and we just kept talking about how amazing you are!)

Gina Alexander has announced a few new designs! I’m personally drooling over their new designs-and keep an eye out for the backpack!!! (if I can just get my two kids to cooperate…)

The opening slideshow on their website features one of our favorite bags-little sister going in for a kiss from big brother!! The look on his face is priceless!

The July covers of Dallas Child and Fort Worth Child are out, as is North Texas Teens! Make sure you pick up your copy as these are the annual “Family Guides”…every resource you could ask for!

When you have a moment-we’ve updated the recent work slideshow that is featured on the website. The sweet Daly family was kind enough to let us showcase their session, and I think mom Leslie’s comment after viewing her session says it all….”I pictured in my mind how I thought they would turn out-but they are better than I had expected!” (Thanks Leslie! I love nothing more than showing a mom (and dad) their session and hearing them say “I didn’t even realize you captured that” or “that is exactly what my child is like-you captured his true personality”)

looking for a place to vacation without the kids? Can I just tell you how much we adored Fiji? The trip of a lifetime, and we enjoyed every single day! Honestly the best snorkeling right in front of the resort that I’ve ever seen, crystal clear WARM water, and no sharks (yes, I saw Open Water). We stayed at Yasawa Island and can’t rave enough about how wonderful the staff was! Gorgeous place, gorgeous people…the trip of a lifetime! Vinaka everyone!
